iVe Software v4.9 Expands Support for Honda Vehicles
Berla is pleased to announce the release of iVe version 4.9, which expands support for Honda vehicles. Additionally, this version introduces access to Resource Videos from within the iVe Software and filtering for Removal Guides in the Vehicle Lookup tool, enhancing usability and efficiency.
Expanded Honda Support
This version of iVe adds support for importing and parsing data for Honda Motor Company vehicles manufactured between 2018 and 2022. This includes the best selling Accord and the hybrid Insight models. The available data includes connected devices and their associated contacts and call logs, vehicle events such as navigation events, device connections, odometer readings, dash warnings, DTCs, and geolocation data in the form of locations, and tracklogs.
Video Resources in iVe Software
Video resources are now available in the iVe Software! This highly requested feature opens in an independent window, allowing users to watch and follow along with instruction, which is particularly beneficial when viewing content that pertains to workflows or features in iVe.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs), essential for maintaining certifications, are automatically tracked in the same manner as iVe Mobile. Examiners enrolled in our Continuing Education Program can watch videos while iVe seamlessly tracks and credits CEUs directly to their iVe account.
Filtering Removal Guides in Vehicle Lookup
Another highly requested feature in this release, is the ability to filter the list of available Removal Guides for an ECU from the Vehicle Lookup. Many ECUs have multiple Removal Guides. This feature allows users to enter additional vehicle details in the Vehicle Lookup to filter the list down to the instruction sets matching only the criteria entered.
Additionally, the user interface has been improved to allow users to easily scan the list of Removal Guides, as they are now hyperlinks and presented in left justified columns.
Additional ECUs Incorporated into New Media Acquisition Workflow
The updated media acquisition workflow now includes the integration of six additional previously supported ECUs. This interface is designed to provide essential resources at each stage of the acquisition process, precisely when needed. The newly added ECUs include systems from 2010-2018 Hyundai vehicles and 2011-2020 Stellantis vehicles. Future updates will continue to expand the range of ECUs incorporated into the new acquisition workflows.
Additional Software Features and Improvements
iVe now parses additional connected device data for systems found in 2018-2025 Toyota vehicles including contacts, call logs, and the subject and timestamps for SMS data. QNX parsing has been improved for systems found in 2021 to 2024 Ford vehicles. Cache uploads from iVe Mobile have also been improved, and several other minor bug fixes have been included to round out this release.
