iVe Software v4.2 Brings Additional Support for Honda Systems
Berla is pleased to announce the release of iVe version 4.2, which introduces support for importing and parsing data from Honda vehicles as well as several feature enhancements and overall improvements.
Honda Support
The iVe Software brings additional support for Honda vehicles from model year 2016 through 2020. Once support has been confirmed, you will need to remove the system and conduct a chip-off to acquire the data.
If you do not have access to chip-off equipment and need help finding someone to take the chip off and image it, contact Tech Support and we will try to help you identify someone in your local area that can help.
The chip should be imaged to an SD card and then ingested in iVe as a logical or physical acquisition. The expected data types can vary somewhat from one model to another, but iVe v4.2 can decode and parse geolocation data in the form of track logs (if present), vehicle events such as DTCs and odometer logs, as well as connected devices and their associated contacts and call logs.
Software Improvements
A few notable software improvements are also to be found in the latest version of iVe, one of which is the ability to tag source files from network acquisitions. Also, several minor bug fixes have been implemented, to include one that sometimes would occur when switching from one map layer to another. Another important bug fix addresses the ability for a user who is not logged in to scan for ECUs with the DLC adapter.
