Continuing Education Program
MAINTAINING iVe CERTIFICATIONS
Extending your certifications maintains your documented commitment to technical proficiency and analytical expertise represented by each of the iVe Vehicle System Forensics certifications ― not only at the time of initial certification, but throughout your career.
The Basics
The basics to extending certifications are as follows:
- Certifications are valid for two years
- Certification holders must earn 20 CEUs per certification, to maintain their certification(s) and be eligible to take the Proficiency Exam(s)
- CEUs are earned by participating in CEU eligible events as outlined in the iVe Continuing Education program
- The fee to take the Proficiency Exam(s) and extend your certification(s) is $100 per certification
The Prerequisites
The Continuing Education Program is the foundation for maintaining certifications, and is measured in Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Throughout the year, there are an average of 160 available CEUs across event offerings. Certification holders are required to earn a minimum of 20 CEUs per certification before their expiration date. However, if any additional CEUs are needed as your certification period ends, there are multiple recorded events that can be completed and applied towards outstanding CEUs.
