Our certification program is more than just an accreditation — it is an ongoing commitment to establish and maintain advanced proficiency and credibility in vehicle system forensics. Using a progressive approach, we offer various certifications and levels, from simple operation of the software to advanced understanding of analytical practices and strategies.

Earning Certifications

Our certification program is available to investigators who wish to earn documentation for advanced proficiency in vehicle system forensics. The goal of the program is to provide trained individuals an avenue for maintaining their skills through continuing education and demonstrating their proficiency through biannual examinations.

DETAILS

  • Certification exams are offered to those who have successfully completed the 40 hour course.
  • Exams are administered online and must be taken within 30 days of completing a course. 
  • Certifications are valid for a period of 24 months.
  • Throughout the 24 month certification period, certification holders are required to foster professional development through continuing education opportunities. Participation is tracked by awarding CEUs (Continuing Education Units). 
  • Proficiency Examinations are required to extend certification periods.

Certified Vehicle System Forensic Operator

DESCRIPTION
This foundational certification requires demonstrated proficiency in the understanding of the vehicle forensic process, vehicle data fundamentals, and the iVe EcoSystem.

PREREQUISITES
Applicants must successfully complete the 40-hour iVe Vehicle System Forensics Course.

CERTIFICATION EXAM FEE
Included in the cost of the iVe Vehicle System Forensics Course.

CERTIFICATION PERIOD

CVST

Certified Vehicle System Forensic Technician

DESCRIPTION
This certification requires demonstrated proficiency in the acquisition of vehicle data utilizing the iVe Hardware Kit.

PREREQUISITES
Applicants must successfully complete the 40-hour iVe Vehicle System Forensics Course.

CERTIFICATION EXAM FEE
Included in the cost of the iVe Vehicle System Forensics Course.

CERTIFICATION PERIOD

Certified Vehicle System Forensic Examiner

DESCRIPTION
